I like Christopher Nolan a lot. He’s not one of the great directors like too many people say he is(especially that “modern day Hitchcock” garbage), but I tend to love his films and I’m excited to see what he does with a third Batman film. I have a good deal of respect for the guy too, from what I know of him. But that doesn’t change the fact that exploiting the OWS movement for Time Warner’s financial gain is complete outright bullshit. I’m curious to hear what Nolan has to say about it, because he’s clearly a sharp guy. I seriously doubt this whole “using an anti-corporate-greed movement in order to help a massive corporation make billions more dollars” thing is lost on him. Though if it is, and he’s planning to use OWS as a depiction of a Gotham riot, seeing them as nothing but extras that he doesn’t have to pay for adspace to call for…
Well I bet people are making their “FUCK YOU, WARNER BROS.” banners as I type this. So ugh… way to up your CG budget, Nolan.
